URBAN MARKETPLACE

How can nature’s tendency to reclaim the built environment be incorporated into design? Can we reimagine form and materiality with ideas of overgrowth in mind?
Dawn envisions an urban marketplace that takes the form of a rock which has been impossibly smoothed out by millennia of erosion. The marketplace seeks to revitalize the urban environment by embracing the fate of all built things to be reclaimed by nature. Alongside the marketplace, the project includes a large public garden and community garden plots, which will hopefully spread along the Rail Park and throughout the rest of the city
